How Geeky Creations got started...

Hi all! My name is Lincoln and I am the creator/artist/owner/whatever of Geeky Creations!

Geeky Creations was created in December 2014 as an Instagram handle ( @__geekycreations__) to share my cross stitching pieces from, never really thought that so many people would enjoy seeing what I do.

I learned to cross from a young age and really got back into it in 2014 when I realized I could make characters from video games and anime! Crocheting didn’t come that easy for me, I tried many, many, MANY times and failed Every. Single. Time.

In 2016, we were right in the middle of moving and I decided that I was going to learn to crochet, so I bought some yarn and hooks, found a YouTube tutorial on making a beanie and here we are today!

My first Amigurumi was a Poro from LOL and a Mareep followed that, although they never had a picture taken due to how poorly (in my eyes) the turned out.

In April of 2018, I decided I was going to challenge myself and found a Unicorn pattern.

That is the saddest unicorn I have ever made, but my youngest fell in love with it!

She named that sad unicorn Pastel and has slept with it every night since.

I gave up on that pattern and set out to find a new one. One that was much easier to work up and always came out adorable!

In November 2018, I did my first ever event! I set up a little booth at a local little Craft Bazaar. It ended up basically being a flop, and I didn't do very well. But I took it as a learning experience and knew better what to expect in the future!
